One of my most distinctive traits is that I constantly snack, especially during the middle of the night (much to the displeasure of my mother). I’m pretty much nocturnal, so one of the most difficult things to adjust to at Princeton (which I still haven’t, really) was the fact that food is not readily available at hours of the night. There’s no refrigerator stocked with ice cream or pantry filled with junk food downstairs for me to binge on, so the first few months here I lost a lot of weight from not having enough to eat. Mind you, I’m already pretty skinny to begin with. Since then, I’ve attempted to periodically stock up on food so as not to become emaciated.
You can imagine my extreme happiness when J sent me a care package of food from when she visited home for the 3-day weekend. Now that is true love. Onto the contents:
- Hot Cheetos
- Hello Panda Strawberry Biscuits
- Chinese Beef Jerky
- Chocolate Yan Yan
- Mango and Green Apple Hi-Chews
- A giant pack of seaweed strips
- A giant bag of Asian crackers
- Milano Milk Chocolate Cookies
- Gummy Choco Candies
Pretty much an amazing sampling of junk food you can get at a Chinese supermarket (save for the cheetos and milano cookies).
I love this girl.
