am i stupid?
I’ve been sifting through these academic writings about Maus and the relationship between memory and testimony. I don’t understand how people can think on such abstract, philosophical levels and then articulate their thoughts using such clear yet specific rhetoric. I’m having a hard enough time even understanding and conceptualizing what these readings are saying, but I have to write a paper about it too.
Sometimes I just wonder, what does it take to be able to think like these people do? I feel like these minds are on a level that will forever be out of my reach, and that perhaps my cognitive and writing abilities plateaued in high school.
